“Havets Spejlinger” (Reflections of the Sea)

 

A 200 kg clay relief—140 x 200 cm—suspended as permanent collection at UH42.

For three months, lead by artist Astrid Specht Seeberg, eight students explored marine biology: male pregnancy, hermaphroditism, tonic immobility, and fish psychology. Guided by marine ecologist Susie Bagotai, they transformed these “superpowers” into personal stories modeled in clay excavated from Zealand.

Each participant also created an original sound piece with @besyvproduction and Filmtoner.
